Day 1 - Departure Day

Embark on your spiritual journey as you depart for Zagreb, Croatia from your local airport. Meals and drinks served aloft.

**There are occasions where we are not able to follow the 10 day itinerary exactly. We will make every effort to follow it but it’s important to use this as an indication of events and not a contract of events and places to be visited.

Day 2 - Arrive Zagreb

Upon arrival at Zagreb Airport (ZAG), collect your luggage and be welcomed by a Glimmer Tours representative. A brief journey will then bring you to your hotel where you can relax and rejuvenate. Conclude the day with dinner and a restful night at the hotel.

Day 3 - Zagreb & Marija Bistrica

Our pilgrimage begins with a visit to Marija Bistrica, the most important pilgrimage shrine in Croatia, known for its beautiful basilica and the revered statue of the Black Madonna. Here, we will attend Mass, offering a moment for prayer and reflection in this serene and sacred setting.

Following lunch, we will embark on a guided city tour of Zagreb, exploring significant landmarks such as Zagreb Cathedral, St. Mark's Church, Stone Gate, and Ban Jelačić Square. This tour provides a deep dive into the rich history and vibrant culture of Croatia's capital.

Next, enjoy some free time to relax and explore Tkalčićeva Street, a bustling area known for its charming cafes and shops.

We will conclude the day with dinner and a restful night's sleep at our hotel.

Day 4 - Zagreb, Zadar, Sinj & Split

We begin the day with an early departure to Zadar. Upon arrival, we embark on a guided walking tour of Zadar. Our exploration includes significant landmarks such as the Roman Forum, reflecting the city’s ancient history; St. Donatus Church, known for its distinctive circular shape; the Cathedral of St. Anastasia, the largest cathedral in Dalmatia. We will also experience the Sea Organ, an innovative installation that creates music with the movement of the sea, and the Greeting to the Sun, a stunning light display that captures solar energy.

After lunch, we travel to Sinj, home to the revered Marian Shrine of Our Lady of Sinj. This significant pilgrimage site, renowned for its historical and spiritual importance, offers us a moment for prayer and reflection.

We then continue our journey to Split, where we will enjoy dinner and a restful night's sleep at our hotel.

Day 5 - Split & Medjugorje

Our day begins with an exploration of Diocletian’s Palace and the Cathedral of St. Domnius in Split, offering a glimpse into the rich history and architectural splendor of this ancient city. Afterward, we will have some free time to explore the surrounding area, including the scenic Riva promenade area by the coast.

Following lunch, we will depart for the Little Lourdes Shrine in Vepric. Modeled after the famous Marian shrine in Lourdes, France, where a miraculous apparition of the Virgin Mary took place, the Little Lourdes Shrine in Vepric was founded in 1908 and is nestled in a picturesque natural setting.

We continue our journey to Medjugorje, a revered pilgrimage site where the Virgin Mary is believed to have appeared to visionaries since 1981. This town has become a place of profound spiritual significance, attracting millions of pilgrims seeking peace, prayer, and spiritual renewal.

The day concludes with dinner and an overnight stay, resting and preparing for the following days' spiritual journeys in Medjugorje.

Day 6 - Medjugorje

Note: The climb up Apparition Hill is rocky and uneven, so sturdy walking shoes with good grip are recommended, and some pilgrims find a walking stick helpful for balance. For those unable to make the climb, you may remain at the base and spend time in the devotional areas, visit nearby shops and cafés, or simply rest in the surroundings.

Our morning begins with a spiritually enriching climb up Apparition Hill, where the Virgin Mary is believed to have first appeared to the visionaries. At the base of the hill is the Blue Cross, a significant site where Our Lady appeared to the children while they hid from the communist police. At the top of the hill, a statue of Our Lady marks the location of her first apparition. After descending the hill, we will return to the hotel to rest before continuing with an orientation tour of Medjugorje.

During the orientation tour, our guide will introduce us to key sites around St. James Church, including the outside altar and the statue of Our Lady of Medjugorje, also known as the Queen of Peace. We will also visit the confessionals and the statue of the Risen Savior, which is known for its miraculous seepage of water from the knee.

Following lunch, we will visit the Cenacolo Community, founded by Sister Elvira Petrozzi, which is dedicated to helping young people recover from addiction and find a new purpose in life through faith and community support. We will hear powerful testimonies from community members about their journeys of recovery and the transformative impact of faith in their lives. This visit offers a deep and moving insight into the power of spiritual healing and recovery.

In the evening, we will join the prayer program at St. James Church, which includes the Rosary and Mass. We will conclude the day with dinner and a restful night's sleep.

Day 7 - Medjugorje, Siroki Brijeg & Tihaljina

Our morning begins with free time near St. James Church to explore, shop, or engage in personal prayer. We will then attend an English Mass at St. James Church, joining the local and international faithful in worship.

Following lunch, we will visit the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Siroki Brijeg, a significant site with a rich history and spiritual importance. This church is associated with the Franciscan friars who were martyred in 1945 for refusing to renounce their faith. After this visit, we travel to Tihaljina.

In Tihaljina, we will visit the convent and the Church of the Immaculate Conception, known for its serene environment and the beautiful statue of Our Lady of Grace. This visit provides a peaceful moment for prayer and reflection.

In the evening, we will join the prayer program at St. James Church, which includes the Rosary and Mass. We will conclude the day with dinner and a restful night's sleep.

Day 8 - Medjugorje

Our morning begins with a spiritually enriching climb up Cross Mountain, where a large cross stands as a symbol of faith and devotion. During the climb, we reflect on the Stations of the Cross, pausing at each station marked by bronze reliefs. At the summit, there will be private time for prayer in front of the cross. After descending the mountain, we return to the hotel to rest.

Following lunch, we will visit Nancy and Patrick Castle, where we will hear the inspiring testimonies of Nancy and Patrick Latta about their faith journey and personal conversions. This visit offers a deep and moving insight into the power of spiritual transformation. After this visit, there will be some free time near St. James Church to explore, shop, or engage in personal prayer.

In the evening, we will join the prayer program at St. James Church, which includes the Rosary and Mass. We will conclude the day with dinner and a restful night's sleep.

Day 9 - Dubrovnik

We begin our day with a departure for Dubrovnik. Upon arrival, we embark on a panoramic boat tour of the city walls, offering a unique perspective of Dubrovnik's historic fortifications and stunning coastal scenery.

After lunch, we will enjoy a guided walking tour of Old Town Dubrovnik, starting at Pile Gate and strolling down Stradun, the vibrant main street that runs through the heart of the city. Along the way, we will see the iconic Onofrio's Fountain and the exterior of the Franciscan Church and Monastery, which houses one of the oldest functioning pharmacies in Europe, founded in 1317.

We will also visit the Church of St. Blaise, dedicated to the patron saint of Dubrovnik. This Baroque church features a statue of St. Blaise holding a representation of the city, symbolizing his role as its protector. Next, we move to Sponza Palace, a historic building that has served many purposes over the centuries and now houses Dubrovnik's archives, containing valuable historical documents and records.

The tour continues with a view of the historic Jesuit Stairs and the exterior of the Dubrovnik Cathedral, dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. Our tour concludes at the picturesque Old City Harbor, where you will have free time to explore its charming shops and cafes.

The day concludes with a delightful dinner and a restful night's sleep.

Day 10 - Return Home

Today, a Glimmer Tours representative will transfer you to Dubrovnik Airport (DBV), ensuring you catch your flight home safely with unforgettable memories.
